DUBLIN
is the capital
and largest city in Ireland, near the midpoint of Ireland's

of the Dublin Region. Founded as a centre of Viking settlement,
the city has been Ireland's capital since mediæval times.

of many prominent literary figures, including James Joyce,
George Bernard Shaw, William Butler Yeats, Oscar Wilde, Jonathan
Swift, Samuel Beckett, Bram Stoker, J.M. Synge, Seán
O'Casey, Brendan Behan, Maeve Binchy, and Roddy Doyle.
